The Creative Photographers’ Forum, Kannur, in association with Sir Syed Institute for Technical Studies, organized a programme in connection with World Photography Day on 19th August 2025 at 10:00 AM in the Seminar Hall.

The event aimed to promote interest in photography among students and to enhance their creative and technical skills in capturing images. The programme featured a Photo Exhibition and a Photography Class, providing a platform for students to showcase their talents and learn new techniques.

The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Vijay Neelakantan, a renowned conservation photojournalist. In his inaugural address, he shared his experiences in the field of photography and emphasized the role of photography in environmental conservation and storytelling. His session inspired students to look at photography not just as a hobby but as a powerful medium of expression.

The photography class included practical guidance on camera handling, composition, lighting techniques, and framing. Students actively participated in the session and gained valuable insights into professional photography practices. The photo exhibition displayed a variety of creative works by students, which were appreciated by the audience.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of the chief guest, organizers, and participants.
