As part of World Environment Day 2026, the Biodiversity Club, NSS, NCC, and Clean Campus Forum of SSITS jointly organized a tree plantation drive on the college campus and an awareness talk on "Climate Change and Carbon Neutrality"on June 5 at 11.30 am.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Pradeepan Periyat, Head of the Department of Environmental Science, Kannur University. The function was presided over by Dr. Siraj MVP, Principal of SSITS.

The welcome address was delivered by Ms. Aiswarya V.V., Coordinator of the Biodiversity Club. Superintendent Mr. Ummer K.V. and IQAC Coordinator Mr. Shakkir P.V. graced the occasion with their presence.
